Weapons of Republican Groups in Northern Ireland

For years, various Republican groups in Northern Ireland have waged armed struggle against the United Kingdom and associated forces. Today, although the intensity of this armed struggle pales in comparison to the Troubles and previous years, the resistance continues in pockets.

Today, armed groups such as the New Irish Republican Army (N-IRA), Irish National Liberation Army (INLA), and Óglaigh na hÉireann (ONH) are active. These groups use various weapons and explosives from time to time.
